It’s Nice to Michou

July 1st, 2010 § 0 comments

I recently had the opportunity to see a great band called Michou in Hamilton at the Casbah. Michou is a folk rock band that came out of Windsor Ontario Canada. They play some great music and add in some unique features to their music. For example, Sasha Appler not only plays the keyboard for the band, but also plays the trumpet which adds a great dynamic to their music that is hard to find elsewhere. Also, their vocalist, Mike Hargreaves, has a great unique voice that really brings out a great the atmosphere of the band when you hear them.

The band members are a great set of guys who don’t take much too seriously which makes them great to talk to and to be around. I enjoy their slogan “It’s Nice to Michou” as it brings out the fun and enjoyable atmosphere when they play. If you’re able to catch a live show, you’ll be sure to have a fun time no matter what.

Michou consists of four band members: Mike Hargreaves who does the vocals, Sasha Appler who is on the keys and trumpet, Ryan Frith who strums the bass and Stefan Cvetkovic who pounds the drums.

I sincerely hope you check out their music and if you like them, feel free to support them by buying their newly released album.
